President Muhammadu Buhari is to return to Nigeria tomorrow, Friday 10th March, 2017, his office has announced.
The President left the country on January 19th, 2017 for a ten day vacation in the UK, during which he was to undergo a routine medical check up.
He later extended his stay indefinitely, ostensibly to collect the results of tests performed on him by his doctors, doing so amid widespread concern over his health status.
A statement from Mr President’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, said on Thursday that the vacation was extended because of recommendations by his doctors for further tests and more rest.
It also said that President Buhari has expressed his appreciation to those Nigerians and non-Nigerians who had prayed fervently for him, and sent their good wishes.
